KeePassXC - Password Protection You Need and Convenience You Want
Password protection you need and convenience you want
KeePassXC is a free and open source password manager for securely storing all your passwords. It uses industry-standard encryption and can auto-type credentials into websites and desktop applications with a click or a hotkey. This reduces the risk of keyloggers capturing your keyboard input and saves you time.
Every feature works cross-platform and has been thoroughly tested on multiple systems so that you can be confident in using it. It uses a database format compatible with the popular KeePass Password Safe and can work offline without an internet connection.
All your data is encrypted with industry-standard AES (alias Rijndael) and a 256 bit key. It also supports two-factor authentication, secure password generation, and a variety of other features.
The program is written in C++ and compiled to run natively on all platforms, giving you the best possible performance and look and feel. It is a fork of the well-known, feature-packed KeePassX and uses its database file format. It is compatible with all existing kdbx databases and will automatically reload when the database is changed externally.
Some of the most prominent features include browser integration with PassIFox in Firefox, ChromeIPass in Chromium and Vivaldi, and passafari in Safari; a YubiKey challenge response; a command-line interface; import from KeePass and other programs; DEP and ASLR hardening; password strength meter; and more. With KeePassXC, you can easily manage all your login information and never forget a password again.
